Peru’s Wooden Furniture Imports Soar 47.6% in 2024

PERU – Peru’s wooden furniture imports saw significant growth in 2024, reaching a total value of USD 57.62 million, a 47.6% increase compared to 2023 (USD 39.04 million).

Key sources of these imports include Brazil, China and Spain.

Brazil remains the leading supplier country, with a substantial 53.4% increase in shipments to Peru, reaching USD 36.65 million. China followed with a 31.8% rise to USD 8.4 million, while Spain and Chile also saw growth, with Spain increasing by 34.2% to USD 2.03 million and Chile by 20.8% to USD 1.81 million.

Among importers within Peru, Homecenters Peruanos saw the largest growth, nearly doubling its imports to USD 16.18 million, a 99.9% increase. Ace Peru (Sodimac / Maestro) followed with a 60.2% increase, importing USD 11.71 million.

Hipermercados Tottus experienced an 18.5% rise, while other major retailers such as Saga Falabella and Tiendas Peruanas showed minor declines.
