MEXICO – Mexico’s imports of particleboard have increased by 13.7% in 2024, reaching a total value of USD 120.03 million, up from USD 105.60 million in 2023.

This growth is driven by a rise in imports from several key suppliers.
Chile remains Mexico’s largest supplier, with imports growing by 29.3%, from USD 40.81 million in 2023 to USD 52.75 million in 2024. The United States, while still a major source, saw a slight decline of 3.8%, with imports dropping from USD 43.62 million to USD 41.98 million.
Spain also reported growth, increasing its exports to Mexico by 10% to USD 14.99 million. Ecuador saw a significant rise in exports, with imports jumping 37.6% to USD 5.30 million, while other countries contributed an additional USD 5.01 million, marking a 35.9% increase.
Overall, the data highlights a positive trend for Mexico’s particleboard and MDP imports in 2024, with growing contributions from key partners like Chile, Spain, and Ecuador.
