USA – U.S. home improvement retailer Lowe’s has agreed to acquire Artisan Design Group (ADG) from The Sterling Groupfor USD 1.3 billion, expanding its professional customer offerings.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, ADG provides design, distribution, and installation services for flooring, cabinets, and countertops to homebuilders and property managers. With 132 facilities in 18 states and over 3,200 installers, ADG generated USD 1.8 billion in revenue in 2024.
“With 18 million new homes needed by 2033, this acquisition increases our total addressable market by USD 50 billion,” said Marvin R. Ellison, Lowe’s CEO.
Since 2018, Sterling supported ADG in completing 15 acquisitions, expanding its national reach.
“We’re excited to join Lowe’s and continue growing with greater scale and capabilities,” said Steve Margolius, ADG’s CEO.
The deal, funded by Lowe’s cash reserves, is expected to close in 2Q-2025, pending regulatory approval.
