GERMANY – Koelnmesse is organizing this year’s interzum, to be held from 4 to 7 May 2021, as a purely digital event.
Originally, the exhibition management wanted to hold the supplier event as a hybrid event, this is with exhibitors present in the exhibition halls and a digital presentation platform.
“Our exhibitors now need planning security. Due to the ongoing dynamic development of the pandemic, we decided, in close coordination with the industry, to hold the interzum purely digitally. We deliberately designed the trade fair in such a way that we can switch from hybrid to digital at any time,” said Oliver Frese, Koelnmesse’s Chief Operating Officer, commenting on the current decision. “With our digital solution interzum @home, we offer suppliers to the furniture industry and interior design a highly attractive platform to present their innovations on a digital world stage that can certainly be counted among the state of the art,” the managing director continues.
The trade fair management emphasizes that interzum @home, as the leading international trade fair for the supplier industry and as a think tank for the furnishing industry, offers companies the infrastructure and event character they need to monitor current trends and to define fundamental structural changes in the industry and society.
