USA – The Home Depot, the world’s largest home improvement retailer, reported sales for FY 2015 of USD 88.5 billion, an increase of 6.4 percent from fiscal 2014.
Total company comparable store sales increased 5.6 percent, and comparable sales for U.S. stores were positive 7.1 percent for the year.
“Our focus on improving the interconnected customer experience, along with solid execution and continued recovery in the U.S. housing market, resulted in record sales and net earnings for 2015,” said Craig Menear, chairman, CEO and president.
Fourth quarter 2015 sales were USD 21 billion, up 9.5% from the comparable period in 2014. Quarterly net earnings were USD 1.5 billion compared with net earnings of USD 1.4 billion in fiscal 2014.
At the end of the fourth quarter, the Company operated a total of 2,274 retail stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, 10 Canadian provinces and Mexico. The Company employs more than 385,000 associates.
