Falabella was the only Chilean retailer selected to be included in the DJSI EM, after an exhaustive review process in which 800 companies from 23 countries were invited to participate. The DJSI EM includes a total of 92 companies, which represent the top 10% scores in each industry. The Falabella Group was also one of the top five additions, by free-float market capitalization, to the DJSI EM this year.

ESG factors include, for example, codes of conduct, compliance, anti-corruption practices, supply chain management, corporate citizenship, eco-efficiency, environmental reporting, packaging, human capital development, and human rights, among many other issues.

Launched in 1999, the DJSI is the leading index for evaluating companies on sustainability performance. The Falabella Group has operations in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay and operates five business divisions: department stores, home improvement, supermarkets, shopping centers and financial services.
