CHILE –  Between January and April 2025 (4M-2025), Chile’s wooden furniture imports reached USD 39.2 million, reflecting a 5.9% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to Sisduan data.

This growth comes despite mixed performances among key supplying countries.

China emerged as the leading supplier, with exports growing 35.6% to USD 15.46 million, overtaking Brazil, whose shipments fell 20.3% to USD 12.16 million. The sharp rise in Chinese imports highlights a shift in sourcing preferences within the Chilean market.

Among other key country players, Vietnam posted a solid 32.3% increase, reaching USD 1.44 million, while Malaysia grew 5.3%. Colombia, in contrast, saw its shipments decline by 8.3%.

Leading importers included Ikea S.A., Sodimac S.A., Easy Retail S.A., and Comercial K Limitada, which continue to shape the retail and home furnishing sectors in Chile.

The data reflects not only the dynamism of Chinese suppliers but also Chile’s ongoing demand for imported furniture in a competitive and evolving market.
