Chile Records Strong Growth in Wooden Furniture Imports

CHILE – From January to June 2024, Chile’s imports of wooden furniture reached a total of USD57.66 million, marking a significant 26.6% increase from USD 45.56 million during the same period in 2023.

Brazil remains the main supplier country, with imports valued at USD 22.26 million, a 24.5% rise compared to the previous year. China follows closely, seeing a substantial 38.9% increase to USD 18.22 million.

Other notable increases include Malaysia, which reported a 54% rise to USD 3.78 million, and Vietnam, with a 28.4% increase to USD 1.67 million. Colombia also showed growth, rising 20.5% to USD 1.65 million, while Poland experienced a surge of 103.9%, reaching USD 1.43 million.

In contrast, imports from other countries slightly decreased by 1% to USD 8.66 million. Overall, the data reflects a robust demand for wooden furniture in Chile, driven by increased imports from key suppliers.
