USA - Häfele America Co., a worldwide supplier of furniture and architectural hardware components, has add 8,700 square meters of space to its Archdale, North Carolina, distribution center and warehouse.

The facility now has 20,500 square meters . The expansion of USD 13 million capital investment has recently initiated operations. The expanded facility features a 501-kilowatt solar system consisting of more than 1,100 panels. That investment alone is expected to provide 75% of the total power use for the facility.

“This added capacity allows us to measurably increase the efficiency of our operations, reduce our energy costs and continuously outpace market demand,” Paul Smith, president of Häfele America Co., said in a statement.

With more than 8,000 employees working at headquarters in Nagold, Germany and at 38 subsidiaries, as well as many additional representatives worldwide, the Häfele Group posted revenue in excess of 1,70 billion Euro in the 2021 financial year.
