USA - Interprint, announced investments totaling USD 22 million for an expansion of its Pittsfield, Massachusetts site and the purchase of additional printing presses to support its rapidly growing printed décor papers business.

Once complete, the 5300 m2 expansion will provide space for additional rotogravure printing machines and storage of goods. Construction will begin in November 2022 and be completed in the summer of 2023, as weather conditions permit. Installation of the printing machines will begin in late 2023. The project is expected to eventually create up to 20 new jobs, increasing the company’s employment to approximately 185.

The investment will expand Interprint’s capacity to produce decorative overlays used in the manufacturing of flooring, furniture, and other consumer products.

Interprint Inc., is the North American headquarters of the Germany-based Interprint Group that was acquired by the global printing company Toppan Inc. in 2019.

In Pittsfield, Interprint currently operates four presses designed to print décor paper for the laminate industry, and a fifth that prints flexible films for the growing luxury vinyl flooring industry. Upon completion of these investments, the company will run 8 printing lines.

With around 1,400 employees worldwide, thereof 410 at its headquarters in Arnsberg, the Interprint Group is one of the leading décor paper printers.
