Impress anticipates operation of new impregnation line

BRAZIL - Faced with the resilience of the Latin American market, which despite the closures derived from the pandemic has been presenting an increasingly greater and qualified demand, especially in the furniture and civil construction sectors.

935IMPRESS1The Impress Group confirms the anticipation of the start of operations of its third impregnation line at its plant in Brazil.

The new line is expected to be operational in the fourth quarter of the year. Likewise, the company announced the approval of a new investment for the fourth decorative paper printing line in Brazil.

The new impregnation line had been announced at the end of last year with entry into operation in mid-2022. The high market demand in the region, combined with the current challenges in the import of essential raw materials for the industry, motivated the company to find alternatives to accelerate the project. As a result, the industrial start-up of the entire new operation is expected to begin between November and December 2021.

These investments reaffirm the confidence that the Impress Group has in the development of the Latin American market for wood panels for the production of Furniture and Coatings. In total, investment in the Brazilian unit will reach BRL 100 million.

Printing and Impregnation capacities will increase by 50%, which will allow greater production efficiency, technological improvements, cost competitiveness and agility to meet the growing demand in the region.
