U.S. - Häfele America announced on June 3rd de opening of a new warehouse in Mechanicsburg, PA. The new warehouse presents an opportunity for Häfele America to expand their reach and better serve customers.

“The state of Pennsylvania has a long and proud history when it comes to woodworking and millwork and our new facility looks to further that tradition,” said Paul K. Smith, president of Häfele America Co. “The addition of this warehouse to our distribution network is just one more way that we as a company are focused on providing not just products, but solutions for our customers.”

The 75,000 sq. ft. warehouse will add more than 15 local employment positions to the area with additional staffing growth planned in the coming months. Soon after opening, the facility will begin offering next-day order delivery — a new standard within the hardware industry.

“This location is ideally positioned to serve our customers throughout the Northeast United States and as far west as the upper Midwest,” said Jed Kilpatrick, director of operations and supply chain of Häfele America Co. “Our expansion into this facility will allow all warehouses within our network to better focus on fulfilling orders to a tighter geographic area — benefitting all of our customers.”

Incorporating the newest available technologies and techniques in warehouse and inventory management, the space will feature custom, narrow aisles and high storage to maximize all available space. The addition of the latest forklifts and conveyor technology will further increase efficiency and throughput.
