GERMANY - The Häfele Group for hardware technology and electronic locking systems generated 2015 sales of 1,272 billion euro (2014: 1,144 billion). This represents an increase of 11% compared to last year. 

The family company with headquarters in Nagold has maintained a steady growth path, in particular in the foreign markets, which generate 79% of its sales and grew by more than 16%. The foreign markets have developed very positively with a few exceptions. In particular, the US, UK, India and Australia have rallied.

At the parent company in Germany, sales have again performed well after a weak first half. The international IT transformation took its toll here. Against this background, tha Company is satisfied with the achieved increase of 1%. 

Häfele is started optimistic about the new fiscal year. Given the investments already made in a uniform global IT, in markets, logistics, production and service, the company sees good opportunities, also in 2016 to grow internationally. "We expect sales growth in the mid-single digits, because our investments and projects to fruition," says company director Sibylle Thierer. The total investment will be around EUR 35 million. Still, the Company sees risks in the volatility of the currency markets and the growing number of trouble spots.
