USA – Rehau America recently inaugurated a 33-meter assembly line at its Sturgis, Michigan plant.
The Sturgis plant, specializing in finished cabinets and cabinetry components, previously outsourced its laminate-pressing process across the U.S. and abroad.
This innovative lamination line will be used to apply a variety of Rehau Rauvisio surfaces—such as gloss, matte, crystal, natural, and metal—to MDF or particle boards, initiating the initial stage of fulfilling orders for cabinet doors or boards.
The new in-house lamination line streamlines production, marks a significant investment in plant growth, and has created new jobs.
Authorized in 2022 and custom-built over a year to Rehau’s specifications, the assembly line at the Sturgis plant mirrors the company’s facility in China.
Products manufactured at the 7,600-square-foot Sturgis plant are distributed across the United States and Canada, with the new lamination capabilities aimed at drastically reducing lead times, from months to days.
