The company’s expanding range of surfaces features seven collections, four of which debuted at IWF, that offer designers the look of solid surface, real wood or high-end lacquered and glass finishes in manufacturing-friendly laminates.

“For the past few years, we’ve been building a top-notch range of modern surfaces, which we are now very excited to offer as a new line of custom cabinet doors,” said Jesse Collins, senior marketing specialist with Rehau’s furniture solutions division. “As the modern trend picks up in North America, we want to make it easy for every cabinet maker, regardless of volume, to offer frameless cabinets that rival the best in European cabinetry. With seamless slab-front doors, online ordering, and delivery in about a week, we’re removing all the barriers to entry.”

Rehau modern surfaces are not only available as finished slab-front doors but most also as pressed boards and matching REHAU LaserEdge adhesive-free edgeband for woodworkers equipped to make their own zero-joint boards.

Rehau LaserEdge adhesive-free technology is a two-layer edgeband comprising a surface and a color-matched functional layer. It is applied by hot-air, laser, plasma and NIR edgebanders that melt the functional layer on the reverse side of the edgeband and weld it to the carrier board. The resulting seam-free board offers increased aesthetic appeal with no joints to stain or discolor, as well as superior heat and moisture resistance and an overall more efficient manufacturing process when compared to EVA glue. Rehau LaserEdge is available from stock in a growing range of colors.
