TÜRKİYE – Lignadecor, a leading manufacturer of impregnated papers, finish foils, and edgebanding materials (PVC, ABS, and PMMA) for the furniture industry, announced the closure of its edgeband production after more than two decades of operations.

In a statement to clients, the company cited unsustainable profitability due to rising market competition and economic challenges in its home country. After careful consideration, Lignadecor has made the difficult decision to cease edgeband manufacturing—a product that has been part of its core portfolio for the past 22 years.

“This has been an emotional and carefully considered decision,” the company stated, expressing gratitude for the trust and partnerships built over the years.

Lignadecor assured clients that it will support them during the transition, including fulfilling a final order where possible and remaining available for consultations. The team will also be present at the upcoming Interzum fair.

Lignadecor operates a modern facility in Istanbul, supported by two warehouses. The company employs 370 people and produced up to 20,000 tons annually of edgebands. While it will no longer produce edgebands, Lignadecor remains one of the largest independent impregnators in Eastern Europe, with a production capacity of 75 million square meters of melamine papers annually.
