COLOMBIA – Lamitech, a leader in high-pressure laminates in Latin America, has partnered with Promigas and its subsidiary Surtigas to launch Colombia’s largest photovoltaic panel project in Cartagena.
The agreement involves installing 20,000 square meters of solar panels to create a self-consumption power generation plant.
This initiative, led by engineering and energy experts, aims to make Lamitech a carbon-neutral company.
The project will take one year to complete and is expected to produce 20% of Lamitech’s current energy needs, reducing energy costs significantly.
With a capacity of 2.3 MWp and approximately 3,710 panels, it will help avoid 1,655 tons of CO2 emissions annually, the equivalent of the absorption capacity of 1.9 hectares of forest.
