ITALY – Sicam, the international exhibition of components, semifinished products and accessories for the furniture industry, will take place from October 14 to 17, 2025 in Pordenone, Italy, gathering professionals and exhibitors from more than 100 countries.
The event is a leading platform for networking, trend-spotting and international cooperation.
In line with this year’s theme, “All Ideas for the Furniture of the Future”, global industrial adhesive manufacturer Jowat will present its Green Adhesives portfolio, focused on four key areas: renewable raw materials, resource efficiency, occupational safety and consumer safety.
With ISCC PLUS certification, Jowat promotes the use of recycled and mass-balanced raw materials. In this approach, renewable feedstocks are introduced early in the production chain, and their share in the final adhesive is determined through verified calculations, ensuring sustainable resource use without compromising technical performance.
Among the highlights at Sicam will be Jowacoll GROW 125.00, a new PVAc dispersion adhesive that is 30% biobased, certified according to ISO 16620-4. It has been developed for furniture production, including flat lamination with decorative papers, veneers and pressure laminates, as well as lightweight panels. “Jowacoll GROW 125.00 shows that eco-friendly adhesives do not mean compromising on quality,” said Maik Johanntoberens, Product Manager at Jowat.
Also featured will be Jowatherm PUR 608.00 and Jowatherm PUR 608.10 for edgebanding applications. Jowatherm PUR 608.00, available in granulate form and pull-ring cans, is designed for resource efficiency. Jowatherm PUR 608.10, intended for more demanding climatic conditions, offers high hot tack and rapid cohesion build-up, enabling reliable bonding and immediate downstream processing.
