COLOMBIA – The Impress Group chose the Colombian capital to open its new design office in Latin America, inaugurated at the end of January.
The geographical location of Colombia, a point of union between South America and Central America, the dynamics that the country is experiencing in terms of design – and as a cultural and artistic reference throughout the world and a Latin American furniture and interior design market that is increasingly prominent and with growing identity, motivated Impress to choose Bogotá as a point of creative and business exchange.
“Latin American markets are developing exponentially and it is appropriate that industrial demand also grows, and becomes increasingly diverse and demanding, seeking novelty, exclusivity and quality materials,” says the manager of marketing and design of Impress Decor Brazil, Alexandre Chiquiloff, who participated in the opening week of the studio.
The main objective of the décor printer is to serve even more closely the entrepreneurs and professionals of the various countries that make up the region, shortening distances, testing new designs in situ and accompanying the specification of these products in the market. “As we are present in the region, we have the opportunity to get to know and have an even better dialogue with our local clients and, consequently, to produce in an increasingly assertive and directed way offering personalized services and products,” says Chiquiloff.
In this regard, the new office was conceived not only as a business area, but also as a multidisciplinary environment of integration and experimentation between clients and the commercial and design team of Impress Decor. As such it is open to all partners, who can use the office structure for both meetings and the development of new surfaces in conjunction with Impress; as well as to receive clients, present new collections, conduct talks with architects and other industry professionals, among other activities.
To kick-start the inauguration of the design office in Colombia, the Impress Group organized a special week hosting regional clients where the team was able to show all the possibilities of the new location. Visitors were able to experience the presentation of one of the most recent concepts explored by Impress Decor around the world: I’m Metal, a collection of metallized patterns that relate to some of the main design trends on surfaces, confirming that which has already been seen at the major international fairs focused on furniture and interiors this year.
With new products that are part of the Impress catalog, the visible difference of the presentation is displaying these designs already combined with the finishes and textures that best exploit their experiences of use. This way the attendees were able to visualize the already finished products, allowing a tactile and visual impact very close to metal – one of the materials that draws the most attention in the season.
