GERMANY – Impress Decor, a global leader in decorative surfaces for furniture and flooring, has unveiled Horizon as its Color of the Year 2026. For the first time, the selection was developed through a global creative process involving design teams from all countries where the company operates, expanding a tradition previously led exclusively by the Brazilian team.
According to Sascha Kostros, Global Head of Design and Marketing, the color symbolizes “innovation, transformation, and limitless possibilities.” The collaborative process incorporated perspectives from designers in Austria, Italy, Spain, China, Turkey, the United States, Colombia, and Brazil, reflecting a shared understanding of a world in constant change.
Horizon is a hybrid tone balanced between green and blue, inspired by the meeting of sky and sea. Impress designers describe it as a color that blends natural and technological elements, offering versatility across materials such as wood, metals, marble, and textiles. With a soft, tactile character, it is designed to support contemporary design through subtle transitions rather than sharp contrasts.
Impress Decor highlights Horizon as a color that represents movement, continuity, and reconnection with nature, offering a sense of stability amid uncertainty.
