GERMANY – Hettich, the East Westphalian fittings manufacturer, is now an official member of the German Design Council and has been included in the 2025 edition of the publication The Major German Brands.

The Council’s cross-industry network connects business and design, focusing on topics such as circular design, transformation, and economic success.

The German Design Council currently brings together around 330 leading companies and individuals from the design-related industries. Each year, the Council publishes The Major German Brands, highlighting outstanding German brand companies that are excelling in global competition due to their “Designed in Germany” reputation.

This is the first time Hettich has been featured in The Major German Brands 2025, with a focus on “Pushing Circular Design” in this year’s edition. Hettich is committed to sustainable design, focusing on optimizing material management in product development.

The goal is to create systems that enable easy recycling, disassembly, and tool-free separation of components, ensuring that materials can be returned to the material cycle at the end of the product’s life.

As a leading authority on design and brands in Germany, the German Design Council has been supporting companies in design and brand development since 1953, raising public awareness of design’s importance. Hettich’s inclusion in the Council reflects its commitment to innovation and sustainability in the global market.
