GERMANY – The Hettich Group with its headquarters in Kirchlengern generated turnover of € 842 in 2014. This represents a slight fall of 1.5 per cent over the year before (2013: € 855 m).

As announced by the Chairman of the Management Board, managing partner Dr. Andreas Hettich, business abroad fell to 66 percent of turnover after accounting for 69 per cent the year before. In 2014, some € 56 million were invested in products, plant and buildings world-wide. Around the globe, the group employed an average of 5,853 members of staff over the year. More than 3,000 of these workplaces were in Germany.

In full family ownership, the company has a tradition of not publishing specific operating figures. “We are not entirely satisfied with the result as we had wanted to see turnover grow”, Dr. Andreas Hettich said. “We are expecting 2015 to bring moderate growth in a very heterogeneous international business environment.”

In 2014, the Sensys hinge and Push to open Silent function for ArciTech drawers attracted coveted design accolades, such as the iF Design Award, the Red Dot Award as well as the German Design Award Special Mention.
