GERMANY – In 2017, the Häfele Group (Nagold), one of the largest global furniture hardware companies, increased its sales by 4.9% to € 1.37 billion (2016: € 1.31 billion).

The company employs 7,600 people worldwide, of which 1,600 are employed in Germany. The 37 foreign subsidiaries contributed with 6.3% growth, the parent and the six production companies in Germany with 1.7%.

The hardware specialist generated more than 80% of its sales abroad.

The main growth drivers of the Häfele Group last year were the sales companies in the USA, Vietnam and India. In addition, Asian markets in general reported above average growth rates.

The company’s products are produced in one of five Häfele production plants or manufactured by one of 1,500 partners around the world.

The corporate group reports on a successful start to the new financial year and sees good opportunities to grow internationally also in 2018: “We expect sales growth in the mid-single-digit range for the full year,” company manager Sibylle Thierer said.

In 2018 Häfele intends to invest EUR 55 million in markets, products, production facilities, logistics and service.
