GERMANY – For a decade, Häfele has operated in Cambodia, leveraging its expanding tourism and middle-class population. In early 2024, the company expanded into Phnom Penh.
“We recognize Cambodia’s market potential,” says Stanislas Hug, Managing Director for Singapore and Cambodia. “We’re actively engaged in major projects, providing furniture fittings, household appliances, and more. Our goals are ambitious.”
This expansion aligns with Häfele’s strategy to lead in emerging markets and foster partnerships. Dominik Fruth, Häfele’s Regional Director for South and Southeast Asia, stresses the importance of strong relationships.
With a youthful population of around 16 million, Cambodia has experienced robust economic growth, with the construction sector playing a vital role, as highlighted by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ).
Häfele, a global leader in furniture fittings, operates in over 150 countries, achieving EUR 1.71 billion in sales in 2023.
