AUSTRIA – The Austrian fittings manufacturer Grass, part of the Würth Group, achieved sales of € 391 million in the 2018 financial year, up 3.4 percent against previous sales revenue of 378 million euros in the financial year 2017.

The number of employees has increased in the past year by 35 to 1,967. For the current year investments of up to € 100 million are planned.

In addition to the Austrian production sites at its headquarters in Höchst, Götzis and Salzburg, Grass operates plants in the Germany, the Czech Republic and the United States.

The U.S. site, located in Kernersville, North Carolina is currently being expanded to include a 73,000 square foot manufacturing and warehousing facility, expected to be completed by 2020. This will allow Grass America to increase the capacity and expand the capabilities of manufacturing in North Carolina.

Grass America currently produces over 40% of its total hardware sold and distributed throughout the United States, with distribution partners and salespeople positioned nationwide.
