CANADA – Formica Group North America, the inventor of laminate, announces that Melissa Herman has been promoted to vice president of sales. In this role, Herman will oversee North American sales operations, including strategic selling initiatives and customer relationships.
Herman has enjoyed a long career within Formica Corporation after first joining the company in March, 2003 as a sales/pricing analyst. She’s worked a variety of finance and sales roles throughout her 16 years with the company, most recently serving as East Central Regional Manager and Senior Manager Sales Development.
Herman’s vast experience and relentless approach to execution will allow Formica Group to maintain its consistent presence as a leader in the surfacing industry.
“Melissa has been a key member of Formica Group’s sales leadership team, and now has the opportunity to expand her contributions working with the existing field sales management,” said Mitch Quint, president of Formica Group North America. “Our customers, distributors, and sales representatives will benefit from her energy and passion for growing the laminate market.”
Herman is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the university’s Carl H. Lindner College of Business.
