GERMANY – The new flooring trends from Interprint offer a variety of styles to reflect a wide range of ways of life and living concepts. As a living environment is a reflection of the times, flooring design is an expression of personal lifestyle, and the Interprint design team has developed its current décor trends for flooring with this in mind.

Types of wood are starting to take a background role. The new protagonists are the style, structure and overall look of the décor – with each floor displaying its own character. Experimental surface finishes and color schemes enable a change of context that does not depend on the original type of wood.

Light, warmth and tranquility are the defining instants in the color schemes of new flooring décors, along with reduced and striking designs. The trend color grey may stay in the background or it may well be star of the show. The focus at Interprint is always on using individual flooring interpretations to create atmospheres in which lifestyle and wellbeing become one. And here they are, the flooring trends for 2016:

interprint 201602 jolka

Jolka, the self-assured one: A larch with a strong character. Clear expressions, strong impressions. The striking golden brown of the annual rings alternates with the grey tones of the washed-out softwood sections.

interprint 201602 jette

Jette, the mellow one: Calm is now restored. Maple, and what a maple it is! The perfect clarity of this flooring is accentuated by subtle cathedrals, branches and ducts. Endlessly soothing.

interprint 201602 eclipse

Eclipse, the extrovert one: Fishbone is back. A structured oak delivers a return to tradition. The interplay of two planks completes the picture. Provocatively unconventional, even in its installation.

interprint 201602 roble benton

Benton Oak, the relaxed one: A clear case of understatement. This oak exudes harmony, with its striking, integrated branches and curved flowers. It takes everything on with discreet vibrancy.

interprint 201602 bernaud

Bernaud, the domestic one: Warm milk and golden honey. “Bernaud” composes its cosy look from the colour play of the planks and varying points of contrast. This flooring looks just as good in country cottages as in lofts.

interprint 201602 futura

Futura, the determined one: Concrete meets wood. This self-assured reinterpretation of freshly sawn maple, lightly coated with the concrete look, is bang on trend.
