BRAZIL – For the fifth consecutive edition, the Orchestra Brazil Project to encourage exports, promoted by the Furniture Industry Union of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) and the Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brazil), supports the participation of companies in the International Fair of Wood and Technology (Fitecma), in Argentina.
In all, 18 Brazilian companies supplying the furniture industry will present their product portfolio at the fair, which takes place from July 02 to 06, at Centro Costa Salguero, in Buenos Aires.
They will be in individual and collective booths with the support of the Orchestra Brazil Project. In the Accessories Pavilion, the project supports the participation of companies Brasmacol, Alternativa, Rometal, Renner Sayerlack, Zen, CPI Tegus, Lamiecco, Cardenas and Rochesa. In the Machines Pavilion, there will be nine more companies: Gaidzinski, Projepack, Arpi, Lufati, Lidear, Crippa, MP Maquinapack, Promob and Allparts.
The participation in Fitecma is considered strategic for the project companies. Argentina is the second largest economy in South America, only behind Brazil – however, it is enduring a period of negative economic growth. After an advance of 2.7% in 2017, in 2018 the GDP fell 2.5%. Official inflation in the country reached 47.6% in 2018, the highest rate reported in 27 years.
In the context of the furniture production chain, the supplier is the inducer of innovation, through new technologies and design, fundamental to increase the competitiveness of the industry as a whole. In this context, Argentina is one of the main worldwide buyers of accessories, components, machines, tools, finishes, raw materials and technology for the furniture sector manufactured in Brazil.
