USA - Masonite International Corporation has announced that its shareholders have overwhelmingly voted in favor of the proposed acquisition by Owens Corning during a special shareholders meeting.

Howard Heckes, President and CEO of Masonite, expressed gratitude for the strong shareholder support, stating, "This approval marks a significant step forward. Masonite is a leading global designer, manufacturer, marketer and distributor of interior and exterior doors and door systems for the new construction and repair, renovation and remodeling sectors of the residential and non-residential building construction markets.

The transaction is anticipated to finalize in mid-2024, pending the necessary regulatory approvals and other standard closing conditions, including the final order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia endorsing the plan of arrangement.
