ARGENTINA - Argentine imports of European machinery for secondary wood processing (wooden panels) reached USD 7.24 million in 2022.

Which was an increase drop of 22.8 percent compared to 2021 (USD 5.89 million).

The main supplier of European wood processing technology for panel processing to the Argentine market in 2022 was the italian SCM Group with USD 2.82 million, an increase of 7.4 percent compared to 2021 (USD 2.62 million). In 2022  the SCM Group's share of total imports was 39.0 percent, compared to 44.6 percent in 2021.

The also Italian Biesse Group, was the second supplier of European woodworking machinery for wooden panel processing to the Argentine market in 2022 with USD 2.26 million, which represented an increase  of 75.6 percent, compared to 2021. It was the highest increase among the top suppliers of wood processing equipment to Argentina.

The German Homag Group was the third European supplier of wood processing machinery to the Argentine market with USD 1.07 million in 2022. This represented an increase of  14.1 percent compared to 2021.

The main importers of European wood processing machinery in 2022 to the Argentine market were furniture manufacturers Jorge Richezze SA and Johnson Aceros, and machinery distributors Catavorello and Limaq Argentina.
