BRAZIL - The value of Brazilian exports of particleboard (PB / MDP) reached USD 8.39 million in January 2023.

It was a significant increase of 40.3 percent compared to USD 5.98 million exported in the same month of the previous year.

Brazilian exports of PB / MDP to Colombia (USD 2.76 million), presented a remarkable growth close to 400 percent, placing Colombia as the main export market for Brazilian particleboard in the month. Shipments to

Peru grew 3.7 percent to USD 2.05 million.

Bolivia was the third most important market for the Brazilian particleboard in the month with USD 1.26 million, representing a drop of 6.5 percent.

Brazil's PB/MDP exports to China reached USD 1.05 million in January 2023, 31.8% more than in the same month of 20212 (USD 799.3 thousand).

Rio Grande Do Sul, with PB / MDP exports of USD 5.17 million in the month, surpassed Santa Catarina (USD 1.46 million ) and was the leading Brazilian PB / MDP exporting state in the first month of 2023.

Followed by Sao Paulo, which grew 18.6 percent, from USD 860 thousand in January 2022 to USD 1.02 million in January 2023.
