GERMANY - In the interzum award, the best products of the international supplier industry for furniture and interior design are selected by an international jury of experts.

Participation in the design competition, which Koelnmesse is organising for the twelfth time in cooperation with Red Dot, is reserved exclusively for exhibitors at interzum.

The award underlines the importance of the value-added factors of design, sustainability and innovation and is used by the prize-winners as a meaningful label with which they can positively distinguish themselves from the competition in a large market.

Environmental protection, sustainability, circular economy - a few years ago these were topics that hardly played a role in the business world. This has now, of necessity, changed fundamentally. Innovations in products and production processes as well as new materials are the kind of impulses for a sustainable economy that are driven from within the companies themselves and bring this year's interzum guiding principle "Shaping the Change" to life. It is precisely such innovations that deserve our special attention - also and especially in the context of a leading international trade fair like interzum 2023.
