CHILE - The value of Chilean exports of Perticleboard / MDP (PB/MDP) had a significant improvement of 41.0 percent in the first nine months of 2022 reaching USD 89.06 million, which compares to USD 63.16 million in the same period of 2021.

Total Chilean PB/MDP exports in 9M-2022 were led by Arauco and Masisa with overseas shipments of USD 59.33 million and USD 29.72 million respectively.

The improvement in Chilean PB/MDP exports in 9M-2022 highlights the strong growth of shipments to Guatemala (USD 4.86 million), Colombia (USD 15.70 million) and Costa Rica (USD 5.28 million), which grew 108 percent, 76.4 percent and 51 percent, respectively.

Mexico (USD 30.15 million) and Peru (USD 20.86 million) were again the two main foreign markets for Chilean PB/MDP, with improvements of 30.2 percent and 22.2 percent respectively.
