COLOMBIA - The 2021 sales of the six companies in the wood-furniture sector listed among the top 1000 companies in the country grew 48.4 percent in 2021 reaching COP 2,289.5 billion.

Madecentro was again the top company in the sector in 2021 ranking 235th within the ranking of the top 1000 companies in the country with sales of COP 790.4 billion. Dexco (Duratex) followed in 429th place with sales of COP 420 billion.

They were followed by Muebles Jamar in position 495 with sales of COP 406.8 billion, Dexco Zona Franca (Tablemac MDF) in position 823 with sales of COP 241 billion, Lamitech in position 901 with sales of COP 221.7 billion and Muebles RTA, the only furniture manufacturer in the ranking, in position 950 with sales of COP 209.4 billion.

Dexco Zona Franca with sales growth of 57.9 percent was the fastest growing in 2021. It was followed by Dexco (56.5), Muebles RTA (49.5), Madecentro (49.4), Muebles Jamar (44.2) and Lamitech (29.8).

Similarly, the profitability of the six main companies in the wood-furniture sector had a notable improvement in 2021. Profits of these companies grew 138.6 percent from COP 82.3 billion in 2020 to COP 196.4 billion in 2021.
