The president of the Salone del Mobile, Claudio Luti says: “To be able to realize the Salone next year is an absolute priority for all of us who live by design. We are confident that the postponement to September can leave the right time to overcome the still acute phase of the pandemic and truly represent a real restart on a global level. We all need the Salone in Milan. Customers and designers from all over the world, as well as the press that follows us internationally, have insistently asked us for answers on the confirmation of the edition in recent months. We will be there and we will be even more beautiful and motivated as the companies that are working to design and produce the best possible proposals are motivated. After such a long time of physical and social distancing in every area, we would like to be able to think about the Hall of encounter and real confrontation, and be able to get excited again together with a city animated by new purposes ".

Launched in Milan in 1961 as a vehicle for promoting Italian exports of furnishing and accessories, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile is the global benchmark event for the furnishing and design sector.
