GERMANY - The German kitchen furniture industry reached sales of € 417.1 million in February, 2.6 percent more than in the same month of the previous year.

As it can be seen from the monthly figures of the Federal Statistical Office prepared by the Association of the German Kitchen Furniture Industry (VdDK) , growth in Germany (+1.2 percent to € 247.4 million) was less than growth abroad (+4.7 percent to € 169.7 million) .

The euro area countries accounted for € 131.9 million of German export sales (+ 3.4 percent). The export quota increased accordingly by 0.8 percentage points to 40.7%.

Consolidated Kitchen furniture sales over the first two months increased by 3.5 percent to € 832.4 million. In Germany, the previous year’s figure was exceeded by 1.5 percent at € 491.5 million and abroad by 6.6 percent at 341.0. At € 267.0 million at the end of February, sales rose by 6.1 percent in the euro zone.
