ITALY/GERMANY – On February 27the organizers of the most important event for design in the furniture and decoration industry, the Salone del Mobile Milano took the decision to postpone the event until June 2020.

Similarly, Holz-Handwerk, the most important fair for woodworking and handicrafts and its parallel event Fensterbau Frontale, specialized in window production, announced on February 28 its postponement to a date to be defined.

The organizer of the Salone del Mobile Milano, Federlegno Arredo Eventi, took into account the health emergency and decided to postpone the 59th edition of the Salone until June: from 16 to 21. Originally planned to take place from April 16 to 21 in Milan, the Salone del Mobile is a massive event that takes over the city with parallel events related to design.

For their part, the exhibition duo, Holz-Handwerk/Fensterbau Frontale, organized by  NürembergMesse, will not take place as planned from 18 to 21 March 2020  in Nuremberg, but on a date of 2020 yet to be specified.

Petra Wolf, Member of the Management Board of NürnbergMesse: "We hope that the industry will understand the decision to postpone. The aim of every exhibition has to be to create a special experience for exhibitors and visitors likewise and to enable networking and expansion of existing business relations. Unfortunately, this goal cannot be achieved under the current circumstances. All the more reason for us to put high pressure on the task to find the best possible alternative date for such an important event for our customers."
