SWITZERLAND - The expert jury headed by Erich Zeller, former Managing Director Lamello AG and member of the trade fair advisory board, nominated six projects for the Wood Innovation Award 2019 on behalf of the trade fair Holz.

Following the official opening of the trade fair, the winners were announced.

This year, HAWA Sliding Solutions AG was pleased about the first place. HAWA was able to convince the jury with its fitting system for sound-insulating sliding doors, which operate virtually noiselessly.

Second place went to Timber Structures 3.0 with TS3, a revolution in timber construction, with wood-based surfaces that are as strong as concrete.

The bronze medal went to the edge banding machine Format-4 glueBox from HM-Spoerri and the Felder Group.

Holz is traditionally the most important industry event in Switzerland for almost 33,000 carpenters, timber producers and representatives from trade and industry.
