BRAZIL - Positioning Brazilian suppliers of accessories and components for the furniture industry in Latin America is the goal of the Orchestra Brazil Project by supporting the participation of nine Brazilian companies at the Magna Expo Mueblera (MEM) Industrial fair in Mexico City from January 16 to 18.
In all, nine companies supported by the project will be exhibiting at the event in two booths supported by the project to encourage exports. Orchestra Brazil Project is a partnership of the Furniture Industry Union of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) with the Brazilian Export Promotion Agency and Investments (Apex-Brazil).
The companies supported in this action are manufacturers of components, paints, machines, equipment and software for the furniture sector: Cipatex, CPI / Tegus, Cripa, Lidear, Lufati, Projepack, Promob, Renner Sayerlack and Zen Design. The objective is to strengthen both the negotiations and the positioning of this segment in Mexico and adjacent markets, since the country represents the second largest economy in Latin America.
The president of Sindmóveis, Vinicius Benini, emphasizes that Sindmóveis Bento Gonçalves is especially concerned with the development not only of the furniture industry, but also of its suppliers. According to him, integration with the international market is essential for the sustainability of business in the domestic market itself and the strengthening of the chain as a whole benefits directly the Brazilian furniture manufacturers. “In addition to the gains in competitiveness, companies increase resilience and crisis coping capacity,” he points out.
MEM Industrial is held annually for 25 years in Mexico City and, in this edition, brings together exhibitors from 11 countries in the segments of processing, transformation and materials / components for wood. The event has strategic relevance for the Orchestra Brazil Project, since Mexico is one of the 10 largest export destinations of the companies supported by the project and, in general, there is a general increase of Mexican imports of the products supported from Brazil, in particular machinery and equipment.
