ITALY - More than 8,000 companies sent delegations to Pordenone to visit the 612 exhibitors of Sicam 2018. The elite of the global furniture industry met at Sicam’s tenth edition, the largest to date. This year Sicam occupied more than 16,500 square meters of exhibition space, including the new temporary pavilion 10.
Once again, the internationality of the trade fair was very high, with 37 percent of foreign visitors from 104 countries. This is an absolute record and underlines its role as one of the most important trade fairs in the industry worldwide.
After Germany, traditionally the most important country of origin for international visitors, China was the second country in attendance this year. The number of Chinese representatives has grown considerably and clearly shows that Sicam is also growing in the Asian market.
Other important international delegations were Spain, Ukraine and Russia, Slovenia, France, Croatia, Great Britain and North America.
Carlo Giobbi, organizer of the trade fair, commented, “The integration of the trade fair into the location is getting better every year. For our part, we invested a lot in making the event successful, and from Pordenone we also appreciate the ‘Sicam’ as an important factor in the development of the region.”
The next edition of SICAM will take place from October 15 to 18, 2019. Already its organizers foresee that it will continue the trajectory of growth marked by the previous editions.
