ECUADOR - Ecuadorian exports of particleboard / MDP reached USD 16.2 million in the first two months of 2018, an increase of 15.5% compared to the same period 2017(USD 14 million).

Consolidated exports to Colombia and Peru, the main export markets for Ecuador’s particleboard, totaled USD 15.5 million in the first two months of 2018 and represented 95.2% of total exports (2017: 95.9%).

Exports to Colombia reached USD 9.96 million in the first two months of 2018 (2017: USD 9.28 million), 7.4% growth, compared to same period 2017.

Exports to Peru also had a strong performance in the first two months of 2018, amounting to USD 5.5 million, an increase of 31.1% compared to USD 4.2 million in the first two months of 2017.

Exports to Panama and Bolivia were also up in the first two months of 2018, with increases of 44.4% and 141.7% respectively.
