SPAIN - FIMMA Maderalia, the Spanish biennial of machinery and materials for the furniture, carpentry and decoration sector, expects to exceed 60,000 m2 of exhibition space, an 18% area growth compared to the last edition held in 2016.

The organizers are already reporting having sold 90% of the total exhibition area when there is still more than three months before its opening (February 6 to 9, 2018). This data clearly confirms the rebound of the Spanish furniture industry.

The fair, to be held in pavilions 6, 7 and 8 of Feria Valencia will also bring growth both in terms of the number of exhibitors - 98 new brands have already signed up, 41 of them foreign - as well as in the average exhibition area that the stands of the big companies will occupy.

In regards to FIMMA the main players in the industry have already confirmed their attendance, leading brands like the German Homag, Weinig Holz-Her or Altendorf, the Austrian Felder, the Italian giants Biesse and SCM or the Spaniards Barberán, Virutex, Biele, Preziss, Disber-COMEVA, Rierge and Cecilio Machinery.

Maderalia has also received the backing of top global names that see the trade fair as a business platform to reach the Mediterranean Arc, Maghreb and Latin America, and that in many cases are participating with a larger stand in this edition. An example will be the multinational Sonae-Arauco, which is preparing a large exhibition for Maderalia 2018, as well as international firms such as Blum, Hettich, Häfele, Titus Plus, Salice, Renner, ICA, IVM Chemicals or Kesseböhmer. Maderalia has also received confirmation from leading Spanish firms in the national and international market, such as Indaux, Emuca, DB Group, Kupsa Coatings, Tafisub, Meca-System, Valresa, Syskor, La Paz, Servicanto, Vergés, Cucine Oggi, Garnica, Verdú, Plastimodul, Cantisa or Mengual.
