MEXICO - From January 17 to 20, 2018 will take place the Magna Expo Mueblera with its two specialized fairs Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial and Magna Expo Mobiliario and Interiors in the fairgrounds of the Citibanamex Center in Mexico City.

The international trade fair Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial, focused mainly on woodworking machinery, tools, equipment and solutions, will be held for the 24th time parallel to the Expo Mueblera Mobiliario e Interiores, the international furniture, decoration, home equipment and floor covering fair. This event is organized by Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover, represented by its Mexican subsidiary, Hannover Fairs Mexico.

Next year, the fair will be held for the first time under the exclusive responsibility of Hanover Fairs Mexico and will start with a more defined profile. The organizers have managed to restructure the offer and establish a clear delimitation between the approaches of both specialized samples. There was a clear separation in both the communication aspect and the exhibition space between the Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial and the Magna Expo Mobiliario and Interiors, carrying out the rigorous translation of the different needs and themes of the different groups of visitors. At the previous fair, 217 exhibitors from Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Turkey and the United States participated in a gross exhibition area of approximately 30,000 square meters. In 2018 there will be for the first time a stand shared by the German exhibitors, sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy.

Jürgen Köppel, CEO of the Leitz company from Oberkochen and President of Eumabois, the European umbrella organization for woodworking machinery, spoke about the Mexican market and the new structure of the Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial: “The current situation offers excellent conditions throughout the world, where the US and China continue to drive growth in our industry. But small and medium-sized markets, like Mexico, are doing well. By 2016, Mexico ranked 12th among furniture producers in the world and recorded double-digit growth rates in recent years, illustrating the potential for our partners.”
