GERMANY - In 2015, the German kitchen-furniture manufacturing industry achieved a 7% growth in sales and reached EUR 4.575 million. 

This according to data published by VdDK – the German Association of the Kitchen Furniture Industry.

The kitchen-furniture industry showed slightly higher growth last year than the German furniture industry as a whole, which, based on figures issued by VDM, the German Furniture Industry Association, grew by 6.2% to EUR 17.387 million. Of total sales generated with kitchen furniture, EUR 2.897 million, were accounted for by the domestic market, and EUR 1.679 million by export.

Growth in exports, at 10.8%, was more than double that of domestic business, which was up by 4.9%. The export quota increased to 36.6%, following the 35.4% shown in 2014. Euro-zone turnover also grew by 10.8%, to EUR 1.259 million.
