BRAZIL (Notifix).- As reported by Sindmiveis, the Bento Goncalves furniture cluster recorded an increase in exports of 28.2% in June compared to same period 2011. The
export value was USD 6.7 million, the highest since the beginning of the global economic crisis in October 2008. In the January - June semester the increase in exports was 6.6% over the same period last year. The export value in the semester reached US$ 28.8 million. The main destinations were the countries of Latin America and Africa. The positive numbers of Bento Gonçalves contrasts with consolidated Brazilian and Rio Grande Do Sul, exports that fell 0.6% and 7.9% in the first half of 2012.
