Brazil (Notifix).- In the first two months of 2011 Brazilian furniture exports to Argentina grew by 40.1% reaching USD 20.7 million compared to the USD 14.8 million in the
same period of 2010. This figures consolidate the trend of 2010 when Argentina became the largest market for Brazilian furniture exports overtaking the United States. In this period total Brazilian furniture exports reached USD 106.7 million that compare with USD 102.8 million in the same period of 2010, a growth of 3.8%. Furniture shipments from the two largest exporting states, Rio Grande Do Sul and Santa Catarina, fell by more than 10% dropping from USD 64.9 million in 2010 to USD 58,1 million in 2011 in the first two month period. Furniture exports from Parana and Minas Gerais states were the most dynamic in the period growing 41.4% and 165.9% respectively.
