an increase of 38.8% compared to same period 2009. With the new data Uruguay surpasses Argentina as the second market for furniture exports from Rio Grande do Sul, home of many of Brazil's furniture manufacturers.The United Kingdom remains the number one destination, with USD 19.7 million up to August. Growth of exports to Peru (79.5%) and Colombia (57.6%) were also noticeable in the period.
