Germany (WoodWorking Network).- "Making more out of wood: Innovation, Efficiency, Vision," is the theme for the 2011 Ligna Hannover Fair, the largest woodworking event in
the world. The show will take place May 30-June 3 at the Hannover Fairgrounds. Exhibits at Ligna will cover the entire value chain, from coating materials through to production systems, auxiliary materials and services. Featured at the show will be a new production system that enables the seamless application of veneers to upper surfaces and long edges in a single step. The system can go from untreated particleboard to a fully laminated panel in a single run, reducing production times and facilitating "on the fly" veneer changeovers.Seamless edgebanding is also big and specialists in this field will be on hand to demonstrate glueless and energy-efficient laser and plasma technology-based systems for creating perfect, seamless edges.
