SWEDEN – During 2019 Välinge invested in a new Homag profiling line for its R&D center that is now being installed.

882VALINGE2 The new profiling machine arrived in Viken, Sweden on April 27 and will enhance Välinge’s capability to further prototype production in plastic products (such as LVT and SPC) and diverse minerals. In these times where traveling is not an option, Välinge held its first ever remote FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) together with Homag in Germany. It was a somewhat challenging process but on the whole, the company is very happy with how it worked and with the good result.

The new double end tenoner significantly improves Välinge’s capacity to support their licensees and will be an additional resource to further increase their capacity to develop new technologies and produce prototypes.

“The flooring business is changing and with the newest trends in resilient materials, Välinge Innovation is adapting our business for us to continue to be on the top of our game. This investment is only one of many in recent years with this purpose” Niclas Håkansson, CEO of Välinge Innovation says.

Since its start in the 1990’s, Välinge Innovation has always been a front runner in regard to  machinery. The investment in the new Homag line continues this legacy and keeps Välinge Innovation at the very top in flooring development and innovation. In addition to investing in machinery it is investing in R&D and further increasing its competence level to continue developing innovations for the flooring industry.
