USA – According to customs data, U.S. imports of wooden furniture totaled USD 5.469 billion from January to May 2025 (5M-2025), reflecting a 2.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The growth was mainly driven by higher volumes from Vietnam and Malaysia.
Vietnam remained the top supplier with exports reaching USD 2.324 billion, up 11.0% year-over-year. Malaysia also recorded an 11.0% increase, totaling USD 427 million.
Conversely, imports from Canada and China declined significantly by 10.3% and 12.9%, respectively. Canada shipped USD 476 million, while China totaled USD 453 million, continuing a downward trend amid shifting sourcing strategies.
Mexico saw a 7.1% drop, while Italy and Indonesia both showed slight gains of 0.3%. Imports from India edged down 0.8%.
Shipments from other supplying countries grew by 2.9%, contributing to the overall sector expansion.
Despite mixed performances across suppliers, U.S. demand for wooden furniture remained resilient in early 2025.
